The beautiful 2021 De Lancellotti ‘Estate’ Chardonnay come from the De Lancellotti Vineyard, which is located on Calkins Lane in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. The Chardonnay was stored for ten months in roughly 40% new French oak before bottling. This comes off very seamless and well-balanced with layers of toasty oak alongside green papaya, mango, white peach and stony minerals. The combination of finesse and weight really work in unison. From the amazing site on Calkins lane, we get a block of Pommard and 115. Ron and his crew farm this site using holistic Biodynamic treatments. Lachini vineyard is a warm site planted on sedimentary soils that are quick- draining. The wines from this site show lots of spice and earth with old world character. We love fruit from this road having first bought property here in 1998. Ron and Marianne continue to be good friends and we are anticipating a single vineyard bottling from this vineyard.
