The outstanding 2021 De Lancellotti ‘Le Mie Figlie’ Chardonnay combines Mt. Eden and Clone 95 selection Chardonnay vines. Stored for 10 months in 35% new French oak, this revels in its butterscotch aromas and salted Marcona almond tones that combine on the nose with ripe banana notes. The palate is soft and inviting with a smooth texture. Copious minerals greet you, with loads of mouth-watering acidity and medium-bodied citrus and melon fruit flavors that come off very Chablisesque. The lingering finish provides a beautiful crescendo. Ron and Marianne Lachini
From the amazing site on Calkins lane, we get a block of Pommard and 115. Ron and his crew farm this site using holistic Biodynamic treatments. Lachini vineyard is a warm site planted on sedimentary soils that are quick- draining. The wines from this site show lots of spice and earth with old world character. We love fruit from this road having first bought property here in 1998. Ron and Marianne continue to be good friends and we are anticipating a single vineyard bottling from this vineyard.
