2022 Estate Chardonnay
95 points - Owen Bargreen
The 2022 ‘Estate’ Chardonnay was stored in 35% new French oak before bottling. This shows bright pear and Meyer lemon blossom on the nose alongside toasted hazelnuts on the nose. The palate is viscous and rich with a silky texture and beautiful tense of underlying tension. A total stunner, enjoy this dense and tension-filled wine now and over the next decade. Drink 2024-2038

LACHINI VINEYARDS / Chehalem Mountains AVA
Ron and Marianne Lachini
From the amazing site on Calkins lane, we get a block of Pommard and 115. Ron and his crew farm this site using holistic Biodynamic treatments. Lachini vineyard is a warm site planted on sedimentary soils that are quick- draining. The wines from this site show lots of spice and earth with old world character. We love fruit from this road having first bought property here in 1998. Ron and Marianne continue to be good friends and we are anticipating a single vineyard bottling from this vineyard.
