The beautiful 2021 De Lancellotti ‘Estate’ Chardonnay come from the De Lancellotti Vineyard, which is located on Calkins Lane in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. The Chardonnay was stored for ten months in roughly 40% new French oak before bottling. This comes off very seamless and well-balanced with layers of toasty oak alongside green papaya, mango, white peach and stony minerals. The combination of finesse and weight really work in unison. The 2020 deLancellotti Family Vineyards Estate Chardonnay shows juicy nectarine and honeysuckle on the nose, which is framed by a thread of wet stone minerality and hints of brioche. Meyer lemon curd is in abundance in the mouth and is nicely complemented with hints of sweet oak and white peach. This wine is long and flowing on the palate with excellent flavor intensity and a lingering, creamy finish.
